Stolthaven Terminals Help with Coast Restoration E_orts

Employees of Stolthaven Terminals in Braithwaite participated in a coastal restoration event in conjunction with the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana (CRCL). After presenting a check for $5,000 to aid in the e rt, Stolthaven Terminals employees volunteered time to work diligently with various community leaders and CRCL, bagging over 12 tons of used oyster shells from restaurants in the local area to be used to support coastal restoration.

CPRA Diversion Faces Legal Challenges from PPG, Oyster Industry

After an extended period of relatively little push back against the Coastal Protection & Restoration Authority’s (CPRA) diversion project in Plaquemines Parish, the _ght against the diversion has recently been reignited. is time, Plaquemines opponents to the diversion are taking their _ght into the legal system. ere are two legal challenges being leveled against CPRA over the diversion: one from the Plaqueis Plaquemines Parish Government (PPG) and the other from the local oyster _shing industry. e project began construction in early August.

Branan, Wilcox Sue PPG, State Government For Damages

e controversial redistricting process that the Plaquemines Parish council went through in 2022—which resulted in former Registrar of Voters Sharon Branan resigning from her position and former Chief Deputy of the Registrar of Voters o_ce Michelle Wilcox being removed from her position by Branan—continues to be an issue. Both Wilcox and Branan have recently _led lawsuits against the Plaquemines Parish Government (PPG) over the situation.

On October 7, Hamas terrorists crossed over into Israel and committed atrocities against the local civilian population of unheard brutality. _ey engaged in rape, murder, torture, and mutilations not seen in modern times. Israel had to respond. After sixteen years of terrorist attacks by Hamas, Israel declared war. _is is not a tit-for-tat response as in the past…this is war and all that implies. _e purpose is to destroy Hamas. However, Netanyahu’s aggressive response may back_re.
