Congratulations to the Belle Chasse Middle School Beta Club on a job well done at District 12 Competition Day on January 22, 2011 at Boothville-Venice Elementary School. The Bulldogs had a wonderful time meeting with other Betas and participating in academic and talent competitions. BCMS placed third in the t-shirt competition with our club shirt designed by Maiya Bougere, Hannah Vaughn, Kenny Ly, Quinnell Smith and Macy Stephens. For the second year in a row, eighth grader Caleb Wooton placed first in the social studies competition. Tyler Simoneaux also placed for the second year in a row, finishing this year in third place. Seventh grader Toni Corso placed first in public speaking. In her first year in Beta, Aubrey Whitten placed second in the English-Language Arts competition. In the group talent competition, the Bulldogs “Grease” medley placed second. The students had a wonderful time at District Day and are grateful to the faculty and staff at Boothville-Venice Elementary for the hard work they put in to making the day a success.
