Certifications help define the students’ proficiency and marketable skills needed as they enter the workforce. Plaquemines Parish schools are continuing to offer a variety of certifications to their students with the help of local business community leaders.
One of those certifications is the Internet and Computing Core Certification (IC³®) which provides students with the knowledge on the use of computers and the Internet. IC3 is an internationally recognized standard for digital literacy and reflects the most relevant skills needed in today’s academic and business environments.
The South Plaquemines High School students, pictured above, passed the IC3 during the fall semester. It is an exceedingly tough test to pass and these students should be recognized for their achievement.
