Sheriff Hingle presented Employer award

On Monday, Dec. 20, Plaquemines Parish Sheriff Jiff Hingle and Captain Kevin Johnson, were presented the Patriotic Employer Award, from ESGR, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, by CDR Larry L. Jones, United States Coast Guard, retired.

Presenting the award with CDR Jones was Plaquemines Parish Deputy Ben Ledbetter, who is a member of the LA Army National Guard 239th Military Police Company.

Deputy Ledbetter, who is on military leave from the Sheriff’s Office, will begin special training on January 3 and will be deployed to Iraq in early Feburary.

Sheriff Hingle and Captain Johnson were nominated for this award by Deputy Ledbetter.

The award recognizes the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office for working “Above and Beyond” in assisting members of the National Guard and Reserves.
