On May 28, a benefit golf tournament will be held for Mike Reason Jr., a seven-year-old who was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Giloma (DIPG).

DIPG is an inoperable brain tumor that is currently under research for a cure. 

Little Mike resides in Belle Chasse and attends Belle Chasse Primary School.  He is being treated at St. Jude Hospital in Memphis, TN, and Children’s Hospital in New Orleans. 

All funds raised, will go towards medical and travel expenses. 

Local businesses are sponsoring the event. Bayou Barriere Golf Club, located at 7427 Louisiana 23, Belle Chasse, is the host.  Tee time is for 1 p.m.
