Girl Scout troops at Boothville-Venice Elementary presented eight veterans with medals and certificates, thanking them for their service and sacrifice.
“We just wanted to do something special for you, since you have done so much for all of us,” explained BVES paraprofessional Nicole Phillips, who helped coordinate the event. “Sometimes we forget…but we just want to keep that honor and respect in the hearts of our children.”
