The Port Sulphur Volunteer Fire Department celebrated its 60th anniversary Oct. 9 at its annual Installation of Officers Banquet. This year’s event was held at the new fire house in Port Sulphur.
The 2010 Installation was dedicated to Charles A. Bondi. Charlie, as everyone refers to him as, has been a member of the department since 1972, under the leadership of Chief E.G. LeBlanc.
