Zelma Leontine "Taunt" Richard, lived for 86 years before going to her heavenly home. She entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 3:07 a.m. at her home in Goodwill, LA after a lengthy illness. Daughter of the late James Richard Sr. and Zelma Johnson Richard. Taunt was raised by her uncle and aunt, the late Rev. Phillip J. Pittman and Victoria R. Pittman. Stepdaughter of the late Rev. Ellen C. Richard. Beloved and devoted sister of Juanita R. Leonard. Sister of James (Ruthie) Richard Jr., Janie Malveaux, Yvonne Sanchez, Theresa Richard and the late Antoinette Tassin, Jessie P. Richard and Eva M. Smith. Loving and devoted aunt and mother to Linda L. (Collins) Fernandez, Marsha L. (Alvarez) Williams and Darryl (Cigdem) Leonard,Rhonda MaGee, Trina and Kevin Richard, Marrietta Reed, Kim Edwards, Albert Jr., Judith and Mary Ellen Malveaux, Theresa and Terrance Sanchez, Wendell Tassin Sr. and Jonelle Demery. Cherished great-aunt of Diedra F. Johnson, E. Lamont Leonard, Alvarez T. Williams, Dr. De'Shondra N. Leonard, Dennis U. Kaufmann and Darriana A. Leonard. Relatives and friends of the family, pastors, officers and members of the Greater Mt. Olive M.B.C. and all neighboring churches of St. Bernard, Plaquemines and Orleans parishes, employees of Serenity Hospice Services and former employees of F. W. Woolworth Co., Canal and Rampart Store were invited to attend the musical tribute at the Greater Mt. Olive M.B.C. on Saturday, April 12, 2014. A Funeral Service followed.
