Marvin Jerome Gauthreaux Sr., born on January 1,1942, and passed on April 7, 2014 at the age of 72 due to congestive heart failure. He was born in Plaquemines Parish, outside of Baton Rouge, LA. He married Rae Frances Schwander on October 20,1962. He was married for 21 years. He was a real estate broker in the Greater New Orleans area for many years. He loved the city, but he especially loved the great food the city had to offer. He was survived by his four children: Tina and her husband Gene Rogers, Dana and her husband Tom Binion, Shelly and her husband Chuck Loftis, and Jerry and his wife Christine Anderson. He was also survived by his only brother, Sydney A. Gauthreaux Jr. He was also survived by six beautiful grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He was also survived by his best friend of more than 60 years, Kay Cazenavette, and her brother George J. Cazenavette III. The service was held on Thursday April 24, 2014 at St. Anthony of Padua Church. The visitation was followed by the mass. He was then laid to rest at the Hope Mausoleum.
