Last month, high school freshman, LaYaYa member and published author, Nick Noonan, held his first book signing for his sci-fi novel The Adventures of Charles Schenck, in his home town of Belle Chasse. The event, hosted by PJ’s Coffee, was well received and supported by the community with a standing room only crowd of all ages!
Noonan participates in LaYaYa’s creative writing sessions and is working on a follow up novel thisseason to be published summer 2014. He was recently promoted from working member to Youth Peer Assistant Advisor because of his hard work and dedication to the LaYaYa project and his focus on projects.
“As a dedicated freshman at Holy Cross High School and one of the youngest published authors in the United States, Nick is a wonderful young person and role model for people his age,” said Jo Hughes, Director of LaYaYa.
“His book is a sci-fi adventure that keeps readers of all ages turning the pages to find out what happens next! I expect to work with Nick for years to come and watch him grow even further as an author and writer. Like many others, I am eagerly awaiting his next novel to find out what happens next to the characters in this exciting on-going saga.”
