LDWF Patrol Leads to Fishing Violations in Plaquemines Parish

Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries enforcement agents cited a subject for alleged _shing violations in Plaquemines Parish on June 22. Agents cited Sang Huynh, 48, of Bayou La Batre, Ala., for taking game _sh using illegal methods, taking over the limit of Spanish mackerel, and for not possessing non-resident basic and saltwater _shing licenses.

Sometimes called “sorrel vine” and often confused for Virginia creeper (Parthenocissus quinquefolia) and poison ivy (Toxicodendron radicans), bushkiller vine can be found increasingly throughout the southeastern part of Louisiana. It is an invasive species that is native to southeast Asia, and it can be found in Texas and California in addition to Louisiana. It is a high climbing, smothering vine that can quickly cover a fence line, young trees, shrubs, and garden plants if left unchecked.
