According to the Flag Code of the United States, “When a flag is so worn it is no longer fit to serve as a symbol of our country, it should be destroyed by burning in a dignified manner.” The Continental Congress approved the first American Flag on June 14, 1777, which today is designated as Flag Day.

PAWDI GRAS

It was the biggest turnout to date for the 11th Annual Pawdi Gras Parade and Fundraiser held in Belle Chasse on February 13, and hosted by the Plaquemines Animal Welfare Society (PAWS).
