A couple in Algiers has spent the past 13 years researching the Dobard family history, much of it centered in Jesuit Bend, Louisiana. Lloyd Bennett, great grandson of Cesare and Ernest Dobard, and his wife, Katherine, have recently concentrated their efforts on the Dobard Family Cemetery located along Hwy. 23 in Jesuit Bend.

A bald eagle recovered from Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base (NAS JRB) New Orleans was released May 9 at the Freeport-McMoRan Audubon Species Survival Center in Algiers, La.
