Facing $2.3 million in cuts in the Ferry Department, the Plaquemines Parish Council reduced that amount to about $1 million in cuts during last week’s 2017 Budget Hearings.

In a hard fought win that came down to just two-tenths of a second, the Belle Chasse High School boys’ cross country team won the Class 4A State Championship on November 15 in Natchitoches.

PPSS keeps A rating

Plaquemines Parish Schools maintained their A rating for the 2015-2016 school year, and increased their School Performance Score from 102.3 to a 108.6.
