Delta Marina still on the marketJul 29th, 2013 | By Candace Griffin | Category: news
On July 20, the well known Delta Marina went up for auction, but failed to sell. The Marina had a set reserve price of $750,000. “This is a great business opportunity for buyers,” said Francis Braud, of Sperry Van Ness, the auction house in charge of the sale. “We think the Marina failed to sell because there seemed to be some confusion as to whether or not the entire property was for sale.” Delta Marina consists of 20 boat slips, a marine store, fully equipped restaurant, leased cabins, fuel, docks, live bait, laundry facilities, and video poker machines.
“Though the property didn’t sell at auction, we currently have a few buyers that are willing to negotiate a price privately,” said Braud. “Hopefully we can come to an agreement so the Marina can continue on.”
