Longtime Plaquemines resident and businessman Spiro Pavlovich passed away last Monday at the age of 80. The Yugoslav immigrant who thrived in Plaquemines leaves behind a beloved family and a lasting professional and community legacy, including being a founding board member of Mississippi River Bank. “He was one of a kind, that’s for sure,” said daughter Sallee Pavlovich Caplinger. “He was a very proud man. He maintained dignity and respect for everyone.”
