Parish prepares for Phillips 66 turnaround

The Phillips 66 Alliance Refinery in Belle Chasse will be bringing in additional contracted workers to facilitate a turnaround that will begin in early March and continue through April. In preparation, parish officials have been working together to help mitigatethe effects the turnaround may have on traffic in the Belle Chasse area. A turnaround is a scheduled maintenance in which contracted workers are brought in during the day to inspect, clean, and update a refinery’s equipment.Traffic lights will be synchronized and the Belle Chasse Bridge closure time will be extend by one hour to 6:30 p.m. in order to manage any traffic influx caused by the turnaround.
