Bartholomew leads IN Tech basketball

Indiana Tech junior Rodney Bartholomew from Port Sulphur helped lead the Warriors to an overall record of 22-11 and a third place finish in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference during the regular season and advanced all the way to the finals in the WHAC Conference Tournament.

Rodney, transferred in from Corning Community College, played in all 33 games this season, averaging a double-double with 13.5 points per contest and 11.0 rebounds.  The 6’8” forward finished as the team’s top shooter and rebounder.  He shot almost 55 percent from the floor (164-for-301) and pulled down 363 boards.  He scored a season-high 27 points in Tech’s win over Concordia University on January 19.  Rodney ranked first in the country in offensive rebounds per game (4.4) and total rebounds (363). He was named First Team All-Conference, All-Newcomer Team, and Newcomer of the Year.
