The Committee for Plaquemines Recovery (CPR), a conglomerate of groups formed in order to further the Parish along and, “Bring Plaquemines back to life,” held a meeting at Lil’ G’s this past month. Members of local first responder units, Parish Government, local churches and non-profits, and even FEMA was represented.
“As the recovery of Plaquemines Parish continues, the most crucial need continues to be affordable housing in the south end and on the Eastbank,” said the presentation prepared by group leader Benny Puckett.
“CPR will actively pursue every avenue available to find funding and assistance to bring people back home who cannot find suitable housing while at the same time addressing other unmet needs such as food and shelter for those least able to afford their continued recovery. We invite you to be a part of the excitement and the process by becoming a member of the Committee for Plaquemines Recovery.”
