Bartholomew named WHAC Player of the Week
Dec 8th, 2011 | By Terri Sercovich | Category: sportsAfter helping the 18th ranked Indiana Tech Warriors get off to a fast start, Rodney Bartholomew has been selected as this week’s Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Player of the Week.
The 6’8” senior from Port Sulphur, led the Warriors to a 2-0 record last week, including a 66-64 win on the road over cross-town rival University of St. Francis, who brought a No.13 ranking into the contest. Bartholomew had game-highs in scoring and rebounds in the contest, with 18 points 13 boards.
In Tech’s 82-48 blowout win over Lindenwood University Belleville, he poured in 25 points and pulled down eight rebounds while adding seven steals, two assists, and two blocks.
Through the first three games of the 2011-12 campaign, Bartholomew ranks second in NAIA Division II in offensive rebounds per game (7.0), second in total rebounds per game (13.3), fourth in total rebounds (40), and fifth in total scoring (73).
