Orange Fest. donates cookbooks

The Plaquemines Parish Fair and Orange Festival Association donated cookbooks to Cafe Hope earlier this month.  

Kim Turlich-Vaughan, President, Karen Leonard, Director and Wanda Buras, Vice-President presented three cases of Surviving the Storm Volume 2 to the Executive Director of Cafe Hope Luis Arocha, and his staff. 

Cafe Hope is a Cajun/Creole restaurant in Marrero that provides on the job training to at risk young adults.  After students complete the 12 week curriculum Cafe Hope assists the youths in finding chef and wait staff jobs in the competitive restaurant and hospitality industries.
