BCA fifth grader Mackenzie Wisneski has read over 1.5 million words so far this year using the supplemental reading program, Accelerated Reader. The program keeps track of the number of words each student reads during the school year.

Plaquemines Parish Special Olympics hosted a Basketball Skills Competition on December 3 at Belle Chasse High School. Twenty-one athletes participated in individual basketball skills which included the target pass, ten-meter dribble, and spot shot.
